1. Camera and Face Tracking Data (TrueDepth API)

NodScore uses your device's TrueDepth camera to enable hands-free page turning through head and facial gestures.

1.1 What Information We Collect Using the TrueDepth API

When you enable face tracking features in NodScore, we collect and process the following data in real-time:

• Real-time head orientation data: Yaw, pitch, and roll angles that indicate the direction and tilt of your head
• Facial landmark positions: Specific points on your face including mouth corners and eye positions
• Purpose: This data is used exclusively for gesture detection to control page navigation

1.2 How We Use This Data

The TrueDepth data collected is used solely for the following purposes:

• Gesture Detection: To detect deliberate head movements (nodding, tilting) and facial gestures (mouth opening)
• Page Navigation Control: To control page navigation in the PDF viewer based on detected gestures
• Real-Time Processing: All processing occurs locally on your device in real-time with no external transmission

1.3 What We Don't Do With Your Face Data

NodScore is designed with privacy as a core principle. We explicitly do NOT:

• ❌ Capture, store, or save face images or video recordings
• ❌ Perform face recognition or identification of individuals
• ❌ Share any face data with third parties under any circumstances
• ❌ Upload face data to our servers (we don't have servers or cloud infrastructure)
• ❌ Use face data for advertising, marketing, or analytics purposes
• ❌ Create facial profiles or biometric templates
• ❌ Track users across devices or applications

1.4 Data Storage and Retention

Face tracking data is NOT persistently stored:

• In-Memory Processing Only: Face tracking data is processed in device memory only and immediately discarded after each frame
• No Persistent Storage: No facial data is saved to disk, databases, or any permanent storage
• No Cloud Storage: No face data is transmitted to or stored in any cloud services
• Optional Debug Logging: If you enable developer debug logging features, only numerical angle values (e.g., "pitch: 15.3 degrees") are stored locally on your device temporarily. These logs:
  • Contain no images, videos, or identifying facial features
  • Store only anonymized numerical measurements
  • Remain exclusively on your device
  • Can be cleared at any time

1.5 Third-Party Sharing and Server Upload

We do NOT share face data with any third parties or upload it to any servers:

• NodScore does not have backend servers or cloud infrastructure
• No face data is transmitted over the internet
• No third-party services have access to your facial information
• No advertising networks, analytics services, or data brokers receive any face data
• All data remains exclusively on your device under your control

1.6 User Control and Privacy Rights

You maintain complete control over face tracking functionality:

• Easy Disable: You can disable face tracking at any time using the microphone toggle button in the app interface
• Camera Permissions: You can revoke camera access through iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera → NodScore
• Complete Removal: Uninstalling the app removes all associated data from your device
• No Account Required: NodScore does not require user accounts, so there are no profiles or stored preferences linked to your identity

1.7 Compliance with Apple Guidelines and Privacy Laws

Our use of the TrueDepth API strictly complies with:

• Apple App Store Review Guidelines: We use TrueDepth data only for the disclosed purpose (gesture-based page navigation)
• TrueDepth API Requirements: We never use face data for advertising or marketing purposes
• Privacy Laws: Our practices comply with GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable privacy regulations
• Transparency: This privacy policy provides complete disclosure of our data practices

2. Information We Do Not Collect

Our application does not collect, store, or transmit:

• Personal identification information (name, email, phone number, etc.)
• Location data or GPS coordinates
• Camera images, videos, or recordings
• TrueDepth facial data or depth maps
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Usage analytics or behavioral data
• Any other personal or sensitive information

3. Local Processing Only

All functionality provided by our application operates entirely on your device:

• Camera and TrueDepth processing occurs locally using your device's hardware
• No internet connection is required for core features
• No data is sent to external servers or cloud services

4. Third-Party Services

Our application does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services. We do not share any information with third parties because we do not collect any information.

5. Children's Privacy

Since our application does not collect any personal information, it is safe for users of all ages, including children under 13. We do not knowingly collect or solicit any information from anyone.

6. Security

Because we do not collect, transmit, or store any user data, there is no risk of data breaches or unauthorized access to your information through our services. All processing occurs securely on your device using Apple's built-in security features.

7. Your Rights and Controls

You maintain full control over your data:

• You can grant or revoke camera access at any time through your device's Settings
• You can delete the application at any time, which will remove any temporary local data
• Since we don't collect data, there is nothing to request, access, or delete from our servers
